We have something new for returning results.
The automated receiving of sieveresults is online. http://www.sr5.psp-project.de/sieveimport.php To be honest there is a small problem on some browsers when you return more then around a 1000 results at once. The results enter the DB without any problems but the browser does not receive the acknowledge message. I am not good enough in html to find out what i can do about this timeout at least at the moment. Attention to import 1000 results can take about 2-3 minutes sometimes. I am working on an increased performance. All results returned till today in the morning are already imported so no need to send them again. To see the number of returned factors you can use this:

That is a decission that the project managers have to make. I can create new dat files from the DB and have done this already and send them to michaf.

Is it OK to submit factors from half a reserved range one day, then the other half a few days later, or will this be more work for the project admins?

I can only speak for the DB and the progress of the project.
There it is to prever to send factors more often as we find so many factors that there is a fair chance that a test is removed short before handed out to PRP testing. And for the DB it makes no difference if the imopot script runs once twice. Lars |

I will second ltd's thoughts above; Send factors frequently, be careful not to lose any. Has the submission bug related to more than 1000 factors been worked out yet?

Its not a real bug on the submission side.
The problem is that for example opera(my favorite browser) sometimes misses the final reply from the server to show how many factors are imported. Firefox did display everything right. At the moment i have removed lots of old results from the submission DB which makes the checks much faster and so there should be no problem with any browser. I will keep an eye on it. Had a problem with Safari this morning:
Warning: set_time_limit(): Cannot set time limit in safe mode in /var/www/vhosts/sr5.psp-project.de/httpdocs/sieveimport.php on line 408 |

I dad do do some updates on the server with a restart of the apache and there an old (or more exact default) configuration was reactivated. I had already corrected the behaviour for the local scripts but not for the webserver. Should work now. Lars Last fiddled with by ltd on 2007-04-22 at 16:54 |
