Thast's the point. So why not make them TwinPrime/PrimeGrind instead of the 2 accounts TwinPrime and PrimeGrind

First, it's PrimeGrid, second, PrimeGrid won't only be doing TPS work in the near future, and TPS is already doing separate work without PG. PG+TPS is NOT a merged project, it's just one helping another one.

I don't think primegrid will ever find a top 5000 prime except for the TPS project. The finding small primes isn't related to finding a big prime. I vote for a merged TwinPrime/PrimeGrind account.

I think what rytis is refuring too is that primegrid might be starting another search soon that could find it.

Also Rytis is correct. These projects are two distinct seperate projects helping one another but both derserve credit for the primes found.

I believe Chris Caldwell does this for "programs" as it highlights the importance of sieving and, even though sieving generally accounts for 5% of the overall computational effort when searching for primes, many new hunters underestimate the usefulness of sieving. You could approach him about this if you are unhappy about the way points are awarded for "programs"

3 :surprised sieving programs are used, and 2 primality testing programs are used. Despite this, all 5 programs get the same credit for doing only two things, primality testing and sieving. Why?
