Dear All,
usually I run mprime on one cluster node, which has 12 Cores, so my mprime-setup has 12 workers. Is there a possibility to run mprime with a certain amount of worker threads from the command line? E.g. "./mprime -d --workers 4"? Thank You |

No.
You might could use a Unix utility to edit local.txt before launching mprime to achieve the desired outcome. |

After I feel I've become proficient enough in C/programming (a long while off) the first thing I will do is to give MPrime decent individual worker control.

my dream 25 years ago: after I feel I've become proficient enough in C/programming (a long while off) the first thing I will do is to implement a decent go-moku/renju program... I did not write a line for it, in 25 years. Should be that a sign that I never became proficient enough in C? :P

Yes, but you don't suffer from near-daily frustration at not being able to play those games. (Maybe an exaggeration, but I know I'm not the only one with this problem. Xyzzy uses separate instances of MPrime to get the necessary control.)

So does this mean that I launched a feature request with my post?

Well, it's been discussed before, and me wanting to tackle it has been floating around my head for a month or two, but since you've made the thread, this will probably be where any discussion about it takes place.
