Default PIV Effective Equivalent curiosities...

SCENARIO 1: 8 days ago I got my i5-750 running and the starting P4 equivalency was about equal to the Ghz; very conservative for the i5. Also it incorrectly indicated it as a 2 CPU Hyperthreaded PC. Once I used the undoc parms to set the CPUs and Hyperthreading correct about 4 days ago I thought the value would be better calculated. It did not change except that as daily updates come in it is slowly upping the value; HOWEVER, 8 days and 1 full set of 6-day DC's later it is still estimating a DC to take 15 days even though they are taking just over 6.

SCENARIO 2: Today my son installed Prime95 on his i7-860 and immediately the P4 value is estimated at almost double the Ghz; and therefore the time estimates are much closer. Mind you it is also correctly identified as 4 CPU Hyperthreading.

Any thoughts on the different interpretations?
Is it simply related to the incorrect information ascertained by Prime95 about the i5-750?
