I have Prime95 running on two computers (different tasks).
One of them isn't mine, and I'm going to return it soon. So what should I do? Is it possible to move the work to the other computer (currently running Prime95)? And how is it done? |

Try checking this thread:
http://mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?t=2568 I would suggest that you make sure that keep things straight. You could move the save files (as mentioned in the post) and then stop Prime95 and exit, copy the contents of 1 of the 2 worktodo.ini files into the other. Then restart Prime95. Both numbers should be queued up. |

I would suggest moving the entire folder from Machine #1 to a different folder on Machine #2. Then stop the Prime95 on Machine #2 and start the Prime95 from Machine #1 and check "Quit Gimps" in the "Advanced" menu.
After the Machine #1's exponent is complete and the results have been sent, you can delete that folder and return running Machine #2's exponent. Last fiddled with by outlnder on 2004-09-01 at 22:40 |
