Are you sure? Not all PhDs brag with the title.

A friend of mine that is a PhD and a prof at a major university. He went to his MD. The doc came into the room and started to use his first name (as opposed to calling him Mr. X). So, figuring that he was on a first name basis with his doc. So, he started using the MD's first name. The MD said, "I am Doctor Y!", wtih much indignation. So, my friend said, "I am Doctor X".

He was ABD 10 years ago, so I would have though he'd have his Ph.D by now. What's your source?
