Unfortunately, there is no automated installation system. However, if you don't mind the machines all having the same identifier, you could create just unzip p95v238.zip into a dedicated forlder and let it run. I think there are other people who may have written installation scripts usually using teh AT commands who may pipe us soon.

Helfire, do you have explicit permission to run GIMPS software on all those machines?

Well i`m in charge of all our IT equipment, network and servers. and they just sit idle for around 14 hrs a day and most are on 24/7. So lots of free processing power going to waste. Any idear on what would be best to impliment this and does it consume much extra power.

There have been a number of discussions about the power usage of Prime95 in the hardware forum. Here is the latest one with some figures.

300 machines!!! Wish I had that many to borg.

I wrote a special program and created an SFX archive for speedy borging. If you want, I'll reconfigure it for your username/password, hours per day, etc. and send it to you.

This may not translate into having permission. Make sure you really do have permission - preferably in writing. People have lost their jobs (or worse) installing distributed computing software on machines when they *assumed* they had authority to do so.

Yes i`m in the process of checking final permisions, well only one person to clarify with. But its looking good as long as it does not interupt with any of the work. Will keep you all posted.

I have 50+ boxen at work and installed most of the clients when I configured the box. As for existing PCs, I wrote some scripts to copy a preconfigured directory to the PC install a temp service, start it (which created the standard Prime95 service), stopped the temp service, started the Prime95 service, and removed the temp service. Kind of a kludge but it worked for me.
