Default Proxy server / apache experts?

I have a user with proxy server troubles using version 22.9. I have the log files but don't know what is wrong. Attached is an edited log file. It shows I'm connecting to port 8080 of the proxy server. I ask it to get a page from mersenne.org, but it looks like the local Apache server tried to serve the page instead.

Does anyone have any ideas what is going on?

PRIMENET.INI FILE:

ProxyHost=http://pac.something.be:8080
ProxyUser=a4476
ProxyPass=******
ProxyMask=1

PRIME.LOG FILE:

host = pac.something.be, port = 8080
IP-addr = 195.1xx.xxx.xxx

GET http://mersenne.org:80/cgi-bin/pnHttp.exe?ps&32516&.&. HTTP/1.0
Proxy-Authorization: Basic ****PASSWORD****

RECV: HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found

There's a lot of broken proxy servers out there; try adding a Host:mersenne.org header.

I am not a networking guru, so I ask:

you send HTTP/1.0 and get a RECV HTTP/1.1 error: maybe the proxy needs a differently formatted string... I had similar errors in the past.

I'll have ADSL (640/128) in a couple of weeks... Hope this helps :(

Guido, I'll tell you how this new option works!

The Others: sorry for the noise. ops:
