I think 14549535 is reserved by levitate (see the "JOIN US" thread at
http://www.mersenneforum.org/showthr...=5771#post5771) or the list on www.15k.org (the most up to date is the thread here). |

It seems to me I have wasted a lot of cycles testing 187466565 gribozavr has been testing this K already. Please put his name on k-187466565. See posts in report small primes. Thanks grobie - Tony.

About reservations of various 15k multipliers, including the problem Grobie had, please note that some multipliers are marked as reserved only in the following web file http://www.15k.org/homecandidate.htm and NOT marked in the "JOIN US, CHOOSE A CANDIDATE by Robinson weight" thread. Unfortunately, some multipliers, although reserved, are marked nowhere. I'm sorry about this. The main reason is that Joss, the other moderator responsible to update the page simply disappeared half a year ago. The other reason is that I haven't realized he is not coming back soon, and the third is my permanent lack of time to update all the pages. I was just trying to run the "Help test k=..." pages so that the project is going on. Now, with help of Larry, our new moderator, we'll try to update all the pages. In the meanwhile,
when reserving your new k, please check (1) This thread, (2) The abovementioned Home candidate file. (3) Post primes you've found thread, (4) Post small primes thread, (5) The 15k stats file, listing found primes. This one is relatively up to date. (6) Search the Top-5000 database to see whether any primes with your k had already been found (search the database by replacing n with % sign, for example to search all primes for k=555 enter "555*2^%-1" in the "Mathematical description" field and be sure to select "All verified primes" in the "Type" field). We'll try to unify data from (1) to (4) into a single file, but (5) and specially (6) is good to check every time. |

I manage Yves Gallot's GFN hunt, and my own PIES and Les GeneFermiers currently, and as soon as I find the pre-sieved ABC files, Nuutti Kuossa's Factorial hunt. It can be found at http://83.143.57.194:16384/ and is currently a little bit fragile. However, it's stable enough for me to feel that I can rely on it for my own projects. Phil |

Phil, thanks for your generous offer, but for the time being, due to computer resources we now have on the web, I'm unable to accept. I'll let you know if/when something changes.
And sorry for my belated reply. ![]() |
