I was going to give it a day or two to settle and then see what was going on. Maybe toward the end of the week would be best....

Right now there are 19 sequences <400 lines.

2011-09-15, 08:13 #279 schickel     "Frank <^>" Dec 2004 CDP Janesville 84A16 Posts OK, I found 2 that are still under 400 but do not have a reservation posted (for whatever reason): Code: 804216 395. sz 136 2^3 * 3^2 * 5^2 * 7 * 13 745200 396. sz 114 2^4 * 3 * 5 * 7 * 17 Surprisingly, both of these are slightly intriguing: 804216 has had 3^n, n even, for the last 75 lines; along with that, it has had 5^2 for the last 6 lines. That means that there might be an escape chance still in play for the next line. 745200 is still relatively small with no driver to worry about, just a slightly pesky 3.....

Well, never mind, some local ECM work cracked the c110 on 745200, and it's now at line 401.

Well, just goes to show that you can't predict a driver escape. A p35 found via ECM caused it to collapse back to 2^3 * 3 * 5.....

The c128 is ready for GNFS - in fact I was halfway through linalg when I had to kill the job and reastart the PC, unfortunately yafu won't resume (the error message was something like "couldn't find yafu logfile to append", and then aliqueit bailed and started running ecm curves until "either it finds a factor or the universe ends, let's hope, you don't run out of disk space before either of these".) I believe I have recovered from this type of stoppage, but I'm not sure where any notes are right now and may not be able to look for a few days. From memory, which cannot be counted on, I believe I ran msieve directly with -np2, but it seems that there was something I had to do with one of the files. I (or, someone else, who might do better), really should make a web page with methods used to recover from these types of troubles. I'll add that to my list...
