I am glad to announce the availability of the first PRPnet 4 server for PSP.
It is the DC server. With the availability of this server I will start to phase out the old PSP DC server. So if you have a PRPnet 2.7 client running let it continue till there are no tests anymore and switch to the new machine. The server is reachable via: server=pspdc:100:1:www.psp-project.de:8101 There will be a server for first pass tests soon. It is already running but I want to wait till the first result comes back to see that everything runs well before I announce the availability. Data transfer and stats update in the main DB will follow soon. Last fiddled with by ltd on 2010-12-26 at 07:54 |

And here the link for the first pass server:
server=pspfp:100:1:www.psp-project.de:8100 Parts of the ranges from the old prpnet 2.7.x server are already moved over to the new server. The old prpnet server will be phased out when there are no tests left anymore. Now we have everything on the most recent software versions. |

Where can client 4.0.6 be downloaded at?
It seems that server 8101 is not giving credit for completed and returned work. |

Complete prpnet also containing the windows client can be downloaded for example here: http://www.mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?t=14046
But there is no need to have the latest client to run against the server. Only important thing is to have the llr.exe 3.8.4 Link here: http://www.mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?t=14226 For the stats: The problem is that the transfer code is not finished. Plan is to get it finished this year. Original I wanted to have this finished much earlier but when you look into the update blog you will know where I lost all that time. It should only be 3-4 hours of work to finish the task. Last fiddled with by ltd on 2010-12-27 at 21:35 |

Pre-built client packages for various operating systems can be found here (just use PSP's servers instead of PrimeGrid's), and include the latest LLR 3.8.4. |

Thanks ltd.
Are the stats working on 8100 & 8101 ? Also can I return work to 8101 that I received from 7100 or 7101 and get credit for them or do I still need to return them to the server that I received the work from? |

Stats are working on all servers now.
Sorry but work can only be returned to the server it came from. (Yes there are fully manual ways around this but its some effort) On the 7101 server there is only one task left which is already handed out. For the 7100 server I still can reduce the number of task but I wanted to give everybody enough time so I left some more work there. Last fiddled with by ltd on 2010-12-28 at 17:33 |
