Default Processes cleanup

I was wondering if there was any program that can stop terminate unnecessary processes in Win 2K. Also, I've installed and uninstalled one or two programs from my computer (including AOL ) and I was wondering if there was any program that can clean up my registry, and maybe also my program files folder.

Free programs are preferred, but go ahead and suggest not-free ones also.

Use either (the built in)
Windows Task Manager,
then right click on process name then End Process
OR
PrcView from
http://www.prcview.com/

If you mean stop them from starting
then either (built in, usually) MSConfig
OR
Hijack This
http://tomcoyote.com/hjt/

to disable them from starting automatically.

there is no MSConfig for win2k, you'll have to download it, and install into your C:\Windows or C:\WinNT directory, then it'll work the same way as in previous versions of Windows.

It can be downloaded from http://www.thetechguide.com/downloads.html
