Accidently made a team with same login as my account.

Well, I believe the title tells it all. I had made my account, and when I went to make a team I accidentally made one with the same login as my account. (Was tired and auto-complete filled it in for me.

) Is there any way to change this or delete the team?

Or I could be completely wrong, but I am assuming that because the team login and my personal login are the same only one login will work. (I connected to PrimeNet, used the login and it attached the computer to my account.)

Pardon me if I misused the terminology. I'm a bit new here.

One can login as a different team using the "Update Team" menu option. Otherwise you can manage the team you are a member of just by logging in as a user (from the update team page : "You created your current team, login is not required. If you want to edit a different team's information, enter the team login and password.")

The team you created will not be a big strain on the database. Somebody might join your team (it happened to the S485122 team.)

I think I might be confused as to how teams work in the first place. Is it everyone who is a part of the team uses the same login, or is it you join a team and all work you do gets credited to the team, or something completely different.

It is "you join a team and all work you do gets credited to the team" but to your individual account as well. Teams are an aggregate of users. Statistics are kept separately : Top producers can be listed by users and by teams for instance. Look around on the Mersenne site

You can "join" any team you like, but only one team at a time. During you are member of that team, the work you do and report, will be added not only to your personal account, but to the team account too. That is all. You don't need a login to join a team. If you think some team is poor in credit, feel free to join it and add few thousand GHzDays to it
