Default GIMPS on IRC

A new IRC channel is created for GIMPS. You can freely join it and speak to other volunteers.

We are here: irc.opera.com port: 6667 (OperaNET)

The easiest way to get there is to setup the newest Opera 7.50 (and use chat).

Channel will be opened monday - friday [ 9:00 - 20:00 GMT+6]

Congratulations and thank you!

however, I am afraid OperaNET will not attract many GIMPS members. Perhaps Undernet/DALnet/Quakenet is a better choice...

I'd suggest irc.freenode.net (http://www.freenode.net), specifically for free software
