Pah, 53 digit's is nothing nowadays ;-)

Anyway, seems like the ECM gods are favouring your machines presently. Milk it while it lasts!

I am very glad to see that other people are helping out Bruce.

There are only 8 base 3 numbers left with exponent < 400.
One of them is relatively easy (3,497+). Perhaps NFSNET might do them
when they finish base 2 to 768 bits?

OTOH, if one decides which numbers to do next on the basis of which
ones have been been among the first 5 holes for the longest time, then the
first few numbers in the 5 +/- table would be next.

Typo. 400 ----> 500

I (and core-searchers of course) have done quite a bit of work on the base 3 tables. They were loaded into the main ECMNET server for quite a few months a few years ago.

A few numbers just beyond the present limits of the Cunningham table have been factored as well. I kicked off a search for factors of small 3LM numbers and recent;y factored GW(3,729), which in Cunningham nomenclature would be 3,735-.

Personally I'd like to see the base 3 tables cleared out as I believe it is long past the time when they should have been extended to higher indices. That's why I put some effort into them.

Not having a lot of luck???

I would have expected a couple more factors.....

At least we know that these numbers are really ready for NFS......
