Here is this thread. Separate is placing results here which are larger than the smallest result in the top 5000 list.

I suppose someone may have made a mistake years ago, but nothing in the last 4 years is top5000 worthy. Are you confusing number of decimal digits with size of exponent?

Number of decimal digits. This is what the top 5000 is sorted by, it appears. #5000 is 439,233 decimal digits, for now. Just thinking about something for down the road.

I now have a user ID and password for the new Prime-Wiki database. I have been running a k with a high Nash value which has yielded 83 small primes. When I log in to the database, I am not really sure how to place my information and results there. A guess is that I need some sort of template to modify then publish. Then, I need to figure out where to publish the completed template. Of course, I may be way off target with this. If someone could give me a few pointers, I would be very grateful.

You can use this k-value for a Riesel number as example. Use template "Riesel prime" with a page name "Riesel prime xxxx" where xxxx is your k-value. Fill in the parameters, "Last update" not needed, use "RDate" instead. Look at the sources of other values to see the results.
If there're errors in the page or handling, these can be corrected easily.
Better use the thread for the Wiki at the bottom of the forum next time.

Wow! Okay. I believe you are referring to a file with a ".res" extension. For quite a while, I did not know what it was so I was deleting it. It contains the header line from each work file and primes below. I will simply leave it there from this point on. I wrote a script to read the contents of the lresults file and pick out anything containing "prime!" I see this is not necessary.

It does not seem my sort is very good. My eyes are not so great now. I can sort them in a spreadsheet and simply replace the entire group each time?

By "missed", you are comparing the results above with what is in the database. I will look at all this much closer before updating.
