Hmm. Checking exponent status for a few exponents on the list reveals relatively recent "updates" from March 3 to April 11.

All exponent status reports I checked indicated 0.0% progress.

Didn't I convey the same basic info?

IMO, what would be good is if Primenet's assignment rules could be tightened up such that this type of hoarding can't be done. I don't know what trick(s) he's using, but they should be closed.

Also, while Aaron and/or George are in the code, it might be time to start recycling /really/ old 332M assignments. It would be nice to TF a bunch of the low ones appropriately, and then hand them out to those who want to spend months running them.

George put in a special rule for this user. It was working, until expirations got turned off.

Or just do the TF on any that have shown no check-in in 2 years.

Well... Maybe George could extend the special code for this user, to expire these (before they're poached)!

Yeah... Always an option. Although I prefer to work "on the books". I haven't looked to see if any TF'ing is going on there at the moment.

Just whacked 900 assignments -- go TF the hell out of 'em :)

That's what I love about this project.

While I sincerly agree with you, I think (and hope) he's an outlier. That does not mean that you don't have to think about it; please do not misunderstand me. He is (with respect to his reservations) at least somewhat progressing. But of course the hoarding of him is not okay. And it is also obvious that he is blocking milestones at least in some way.

If he would be hoarding exponents 100,000,000+ (at least in the moment of writing this), I would not be saying this, since he would have enough time to finish maybe a majority of his assignments, until they are hindering a milestone. If he really wants to test his special kind of numbers, he could do so in higher exponent ranges with (nearly, of course) identical probabilities.

That user is still squatting on most of them. None have any progress. Milestone minding poachers should ravage these.
