Hello. I have a question about 2060 Super (MSI Ventus) and PSU Gamemax GP-500b
Would this build work correctly? Nvidia site says I need at least 550W PSU While GPUCHECK says I need at least 450W. Where is the truth? Is there anyone with 500W PSU (80+ Bronze) and 2060 super installed |

Would you mind posting more data? Which CPU do you have? Do you want to overclock? Are there other components that might take some power?

We have a 2060 Super and a 550W power supply. We can run our CPU (i7-10600K with all power limits removed) and our GPU at the same time with power to spare. (We have the GPU set to a 100% power limit.)
At the moment we have six cores running msieve and the GPU running mfaktc and our wattmeter tells us we are using 350W. (That figure includes our super large display which uses around 50W.) If you overclock the CPU and/or the GPU you might have issues. If you run a program that is highly optimized, like Prime95, you can expect to use an additional 100W or more on the CPU if you run the torture test on all threads. You can use HWiNFO to get exact power usage figures for individual components. |

In that case, I'd assume you will be fine, but it's somewhat tight for theoretical peak power usage. There is something called capacitor degradation. It might take years until you notice that degradation, but if you run it 24/7 it might cause problems in months and not years.
You may check out Xyzzy's suggestion HWiNFO. |

I bought a Gigabyte GP-G750H for 2060s. Now I`m feeling like a fool, cause for the price I get 2060s I could add a 100$ and get used 2080 ((( |
