Try re-submitting. I had the same problem yesterday with a composite factor; on the 3rd or 4th try it was accepted.

I'm not entirely sure, but it's something to do with it being a composite factor. For some reason the initial splitting of the composite factor failed, but seems to succeed on retry. I have added some more debugging info for me if it happens again. Please try submitting your result again, and if you get an error message please try resubmitting it 30 seconds later. If that still fails, let me know.

What bugged me was that there was no error message as if it never existed.
Lucky me I was making sure no p-1 was left behind in my range and found out that my results sent months ago was missing that specific p-1 result. It has been accepted now.

Just curious. When will 30.8 be considered "production ready" and featured on the mersenne.org homepage (or at least the downloads page)?

That part is fixed -- if the factor splitting fails for some reason then there should now both be a fatal-error notification on screen, and an admin alert to me.

Long story short, my clients, on various machines, no longer send requests for CERT work. I am using Linux64,Prime95,v30.8,build 15.

However, something odd happens when I run the following command:

./mprime -m

This is what appears on my screen, I have not entered anything since the command above (I replaced anything I thought might be personal with ***):

The above Comm thread entries are what I am used to seeing in my normal log file every 30 minutes as it makes a request for CERT work (between exponents min=2 max=124910789 as seen in the request).

However, when I run my normal command to start work:

./mprime -d >> output.txt &

There are never any requests made to retrieve CERT work.

First, I don't understand why it makes the request when using the -m parameter and not the -d. Second, I don't know why my terminal screen is flooded with those Comm thread messages.

In the end, I just want my client to be able to request CERT work, even if none is available.
