Hi,
I am using Prime95 to do stage 1 factoring on small exponents (typically less than 50k) and then feeding those curves, about 1000 at a time into GMP-ECM for stage 2. With the latest version posted here, it doesn't like the part of the file that has the date/time in throwing this "Error, save file line has no '=' in : [Fri Dec 11 18:" I can solve it by opening the file in notepad++ and doing a regex replace as follows find: (\W).*(]) replace: null or space Although this is low priority can some future version coexist happily with P95 stage 1 output files? |

I'll look into a prime95 option. Although best would be for GMP-ECM to just ignore any lines it does not understand.

It looks like GMP-ECM did ignore lines it didn't understand until svn revision 2681. At that point, a change was made so that "with -resume, now abort in case of corrupted line".
I'll send PaulZ an email and ask what he thinks of switching back to the old way of handling resume lines, or if there is another option we can explore. |

I have reverted this change with svn 2750. GMP-ECM will perform like it did before and skip lines it isn't expecting.
