Default Oh noes! The "42nd Mersenne prime" isn't prime!

Some scientists discovered a new method of factoring Mersenne numbers. It seems that M25964951 is NOT prime.

The factor is quite large, so I uploaded it off-site to make life easier for those with 56k modems.

Maybe you could also provide .zip, .bz2 and gzip versions?
That would further reduce the file size, as I'm afraid Geocities doesn't use gzip for HTML transfers - even when the browser is capable of it!

That would eliminate a massive bottleneck, if you grasp the idea...

The download is actually a binary file... Just rename the extension to .jpg and it turns into a picture...

I've been pointed to that. Turns out that Internet Explorer opens it correctly, but i was using firefox at that time.

Actually it's being sent as text/plain. Regardless of what type us humans think it is, Internet Explorer opens it incorrectly.

Opera also had no problems showing it as an image.
I guess in California, it still was April 1st at the time ixfd64 wrote it...
