Would anyone be interested in having an RSS or Atom feed where users can see their results and get important notifications?
If someone like Ben Delo or Curtis Cooper has a lot of computers and wants to be notified of delayed or suspect results without clogging up their email, then a web feed would be useful in this case. Last fiddled with by ixfd64 on 2022-04-19 at 21:35 Reason: a word |

Isn't RSS discontinued at least in Firefox? Unfortunately, I never used Atom.
Generally, this would be nice. I use the e-mail notifications for delayed client contacts to the server; this was useful in multiple cases, even if it is sometimes buggy. |

IIRC Firefox supported Atom when it did have feed support. You can still install add-ons for that browser. My OS (Kubuntu) comes with a feed reader (Akregator) pre-installed as part of the PIM suite, so I still use feeds somewhat regularly. If I had a computer I didn't have ready access to, I could definitely use such a feature.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compar...ed_aggregators has a list of feed readers. I can only recommend Akregator (if you have KDE), as I haven't used the others (the still-extant ones/for that purpose). |
