The history page has been updated with new limits for k.

Also, a new slot has been added for M49: its ks are actually under sieve (it will stop at 100T)

It seems that I am the one working on this project, and looking for a big non-Mersenne prime...

most of the k found on the double mersenne page for MM49 trivially factor. Or did I made a mistake?

A small mistake... Mersenne factors are of the form 2kp + 1, not 2kp - 1 :smiile:

I wrote a siever which can progress 2.4T/day on my old core i5-750 (@2.66GHz). It will be a long way to 150T I want to reach, but if you want to help, I can share part of the range with you. :-) Note that the siever is written for GCC and require Linux or MinGW64...

true but I don't see it as complete waste ( not that I'm important I mainly just look over half the subforums over the course of a day) because $(2kp-1)^{2a}$ will be eliminate some composites if they still exist in the 2kp+1 values as it expands to $(4*p^2*k^2 - 4*p*k + 1)^a = (2(pk^2+2k)p+1)^a$

I used batalov script on the first page so far, not conclusive... i'll take the minGW64 script

edit : finally understood how the scipt work. well it work.

ok, started working @ 150 T, now @ around 160T. will go up to 200 then work a bit backward. (if thats okay with you)
