Hi everybody,
i just started prime 95 for the first time. I thought i could find the problem with my pc because its freezing in every 3d application. Well, i started prime 95 and a 1 minute later it says: Test 1, 4000 Lucas- Lehmer iterations of M19922945 using 1024K FFT lenght FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.4978408813, expected less than 0.4 Hardware failure detected consult stress.txt file Torture test ran 0 minutes- 1 errors, 0 warnings What does this mean and which hardware part does cause this? ![]() I used the general torture test with a little bit of everything! No0dles,
Often this result means you have memory issues. Please refer to the STRESS.TXT file that is included with the Prime95 distribution for troubleshooting suggestions. John |

Update all your drivers. These are the software that allows your components to operate. Video card driver, sound card or audio driver. Also make sure you have the most recent drivers for your motherboard.
Post the specs of your system, this might help us diagnose the problem. |

I turned the clockspeed of the RAM to 333FSB. Not fast but stable. I had to put all options in my bios to manual! Because my mainbord does get wrong settings in auto mode. It's just fu ![]() ALL my drivers are up to date and my bios too! Last fiddled with by No0dles on 2005-11-03 at 08:23 |

My bios says that my ambient temp, 30 c is and mu CPU is around the 43 c (idles) and under pressure, mu cpu can reach a temp. of 48 c! So it's no problem. |

I have just run Prime95 for a first time. I have overclocked A64 and underclocked Dual chanel RAMs (2*512 TwinMos Speed Premium PC3500 433). I get an error on Test 5 1000 Lucas-Lehmer iterations of M65390273 using 3584 FFT lenght. Then I reduce my overclock from 290*9 to 285*9 and I got an error on Test 5 9 Lucas-Lehmer iterations of M7449747384 using 4096 FFT lenght (10 hours and 2 minutes). Should I reduce my CPU overclock even more? Or it's stable now too?
