Default What does the star mean?

Where it tells you if it's for factoring or doublechecking...

Code:
prime fact current days
exponent bits iteration run / to go / exp
-------- -- ---- --------- -----------------
XXXXXXXX * 62 XX XXX XXX

I have seen this. If I remember correctly, it means "factor then LL". Prime95 will factor this assignment from 62 bits up to the new pre-LL factor threshold and then, if no factor has been found, perform an LL test.

Explanations for "*" or other characters in that report field are in the middle of the http://mersenne.org/ips/accounts.html page.
