Thumbs up

I'm in the process of running a full check on it right now with "check.ub" which does a full APRT-CL primality test on all the primes, but I'd say go out and hoist one for the group.

This is our first termination for 2009 and the first termination for our little group.....may there be many more!

Exclamation It passed!!!!!

Well, I think we can call this official. It passed the full check with flying colors. Let's hear it for Batalov and 191430!

Now let's go out and do some serious work finding another one.....

Default do take recommended sequences before they are gone

I simply added this one at midnight on a spare CPU (in addition to a few other seqs), and was surprised to see the "Sequence merges with earlier sequence 112606" :-) in the morning. It was too easy.

My special thanks go to Frank (for the "recommended sequences" thread and all organization) and to Mikael and Ben for great programs... (I use a 64-bit linux version of everything). Of course, because this whole project is such a blend of every method, it would be a bit silly to thank everyone in ecm and Jason, but these thanks are implied, too.

I was curious to see where the fun of this aliquot exercise was...
...and now I guess that I have.

Just FYI, in the normal course of events, I would have taken up (potentially) many of the "recommended sequences" as I worked sequences on my own. Thanks to the members here who started posting about aliquot factorizations, Batalov hit a terminator before I did.....congrats!

<-- New smilie!

PS. It took me a little over 2 years to work 30 sequences from 100 digits and no driver to capture of a driver and abandonment....and right now we have 40+ working or recently retired and one termination, all in less than 6 moths or so.....pretty nice start!

Although fivemack is cedited with the first post of the original discussion, I was the one who basically started it, and other people saw it and joined. That was mid-December, we got our own subforum in mid-March, and now, in early May - a termination!

Talking Now I really am jealous!

Well, for those ofg you who don't check for updates, Clifford reports that 191430 is the first 6 digit sequence to terminate after hitting 100 digits..... The previous record was a three-way tie with 108072, 133596m and 261306, all of which hit 99 digits before terminating.

As I said before, I have extended somthing in the neighborhood of 30 sequences in the 6 digit range and have yet to have a termination. Maybe I should recommend only sequences with drivers and keep all the others for myself.....
