The commonality between Ubuntu and the rest of the drive is the System32 folder. I created a Factor5 folder there, moved the archive contents into it, executed the proper commands, in Bash, to look at it, and there the two files were in the folder. Then, I ran the following: Code: gcc factor5.c -std=c99 -lm -lgmp -lpthread -ofactor5 It said gcc was not installed and ask if I wanted to install it. I did. I ran the compile command again and it aborted stating the header file gmp.h was missing. Next step?

As for the gmp.h question, you need to get the GMP library and compile it following the instructions.

I am going to let this go. I cannot grasp the overall picture. As for the library, I did that, and it failed.
