Running ecmclient

A friend set up the ecmclient, but found that his nightly backups were "0% completed" in the morning. His OS is Win-XP. Does anyone know a fix? Or a better place to ask?

turn off ecmclient at night :).

What backup software? Are there any log files? Logfiles can provide very useful information in searching for what went wrong. Depending on the backup software, there are tools that monitor the whole backup process and can provide even more information.

Does the backup complete if you skip the ecmcleint directory?

If the software supports running scripts (or use task scheduler) you can stop / start the client before / after the backup.
