My mistake 🤣😂 I had just woken up and didn't notice.
About the main issue about wasting time, there is still the point about why each person participates in this project. In my case, it's not about the wave front or moving the project forward. I like to do primality testing and especially on 100M digit Mersennes, and want to move my part of the project forward. I have 4 computers doing PRP but this computer will not be doing that. I guess I just don't see why something isn't better than nothing. |

Factor=exponent, start bit,end bit Then do a manual communication with expected end dates. You will get it as an assignment. It should not expire if you show progress every month. That is a better use in the same area than ECM. Yes, compared to GPU's it is a waste, but it is good solid work that will help more than the ECM. It will work in your area. Taking one of these from 74 to 75 will give about 22 or 23 GHz days credit. There are some in the 332500000 range. This is more like working on transporting a pile of sand with a wheelbarrow vs. a truck. Less like trying to empty a supertanker with a bucket. Your machine might be able to turn in 1 or more a year. PRP on cofactors is in the 2 GHz days per assignment. Much more doable. Your kit, your electricity, your pleasure. |
