I do a lot of trial factoring. When reading the "README" of my trial factoring program which uses the CPU of the graphics card, I was advised to do long runs. Even runs to the exponent 95 were advised! I have done trial factoring until 86, but then I loose my patience.
As far as I can see, there is no (obvious way) to reserve factor exponents until 86. So I rely on the goodwill of the server to recognize the diligence of the work involved in the sense that I do a lot more then the asked for 71 -> 72 run; I change indeed manually the 72 into 86. To my horror however, the server refuses to acknowledge about two factor exponents chosen seemingly about randomly of my long runs going from about factor exponent 71 -> 86. And it preferably refuses to credit the runs from 85 -> 86 and 84 -> 85. I lost certainly more then 100.000 credits until now. Not that it is that important. But to my astonishment, the server willingly accepts the resulting information and posts it online but refuses to credit it! I find however discovering the smallest factor of the same importance as finding "the largest prime number until now"! Any comments? |

Please post the exponent so we can all look at the full history.
