I think this year NFS@Home has better chance to be chosen for one of the four CPU disciplines.
Just wondering if NFS@Home has a backup plan because: "Runtimes and projects for each discipline are announced 5 days (Marathon, City Run, Cross Country) or 3 days (Sprint) before their respective start via Blog (Feed , Twitter , Facebook ). Therefore, no team will know the complete Pentathlon schedule right from the beginning!"

The seventh *BOINC Pentathlon* is around the corner. As usual, SETI.Germany invites all BOINC teams to find out which team copes best with the challenges of five disciplines at five projects *between May 5 and May 19*.
While there are no major rule changes this year, it is ensured that there will be only one winner after the shared gold medal last year. Furthermore, the Pentathlon pages at https://www.seti-germany.de/boinc_pentathlon/ have undergone an optical refresh, all the rules and later on the stats are there, as well. Many questions are answered in the FAQ (https://www.seti-germany.de/boinc_pe...27_en_FAQ.html). Each team that wants to participate can sign up and enter four project suggestions using the registration form at https://www.seti-germany.de/boinc_pe.../anmeldung.php until *April 27*. Later registration is possible until May 2, but without the possibility of suggesting projects. Therefore, explore the interest within your team and sign up. We're looking forward to your renewed participation in the BOINC Pentathlon! :) |

Can I request if 14e and 15e queues have at least 100k wus? 16e one should have at least 1M wus queued.

You can of course request 100K, or even 1M, WUs for 14e
![]() However, as you can see for yourself from http://www.mersenneforum.org/showpos...&postcount=481 and below, we cannot deliver: numbers which received enough ECM won't add to 100K WUs. If we remove the requirement that all numbers have received enough ECM, then we can borrow SNFS difficulty 24x (low 25x) / GNFS difficulty 16x (low 17x) numbers from near-repdigit, XYYXF, HC, OP, Aliquot, and other projects. Of course, our polynomial selection resources are limited, too. |

Dear fellow crunchers,
unfortunately, the BOINC Pentathlon 2016 has to be postponed for a month after a hacker had caused havoc on the server and the SETI.Germany website had been offline for a week. Therefore, the new schedule is: Start: 05 June 2016, 0:00 UTC End: 19 June 2016, 0:00 UTC The registration deadline for all teams that want to participate has been adjusted accordingly: Project suggestions are now accepted until 28 May. The registration form is working again. All teams which had already signed up should still be on the list of registered teams. There will be additional efforts during the next weeks to recover the SETI.Germany website completely, thorough functionality testing of the Pentathlon pages will also be performed again. The postponement makes sure that there is ample time for our efforts and for those teams which could not sign up in time due to the server downtime to sign up. We apologize for this incident and the postponement, but are still looking forward to run a thrilling BOINC Pentathlon with you a month later. |
