I just got a flurry of emails from the port 2000 server reporting an impossibly amazing run of primes by PCZ (14 in very short succession!)--I'm assuming this is some kind of error?

Edit: Correction, make that 25 primes--I missed 11 of them in my previous count. Also, I just got a handful of fresh ones in my inbox. Is this an unstable computer going completely bonkers or something?

One of my machines has indeed gone a bit bonkers.
Fortunately it has only been running for a short time, around 6hrs.

I can see that is has only tested 128 candidates or so but it reportied around 40% of them prime.
Those pairs will be retested ASAP.

It is my only Bulldozer PC and i am tempted to throw it down a deep dark hole.

nononono. please don't do that.
Bulldozer needs the optimized client to handle the vectors, but it has bugs.
We'll take this into email with Max and PCZ.

Brian,

Can you provide a list of the bad primes here. We need to have Dave remove them from the DB.

I have these pairs being reprocessed on another machine so i can give you good residues.
Will post them up in a few hours.

I saved the patch just in case they come through again from the port db in the nightly batch.
If that happens we'll get the emails again, but we'll know to ignore them.
