Dear aliquot friends,
I created a new downloadpage. There you will find all the aliquot sequences I calculated during the last few years: (1, 220000] -> C100 (220000, 10^6] -> C80 www.aliquot.de/tabellen/download.htm Wolfgang Creyaufmüller ![]() Last fiddled with by 10metreh on 2009-07-14 at 17:06 |

I've downloaded all the files and am currently converting all of them to .elf. What will I do once I've got 'em all? Haven't quite figured that out yet.

I mentioned this in one of the other places, but I can upload them with aliqueit -s with a sleep between to not strain the db too much.
I can do either all or partial. Edit: I have all the elf files, I have the batch file to submit them all so I will am going to let it run. I estimate they should be all in the db in about 13-24 hours given the sleep 5 between each and my guess at the average time to submit. I will start it up, but keep an eye here in case this is a problem. Last fiddled with by Greebley on 2009-07-14 at 18:06 |

Edit: Never mind, saw your other post saying it's 200k+. 281 MB. Still quite a chunk, and very few of them have statuses in the DB already. Last fiddled with by Mini-Geek on 2009-07-14 at 18:48 |

just try one longish file and you will see it can take well over 30 seconds sometimes when running on its own i would suggest a minimum of sleep 30 between sequences to be on the safe side i would personally use sleep 60 |

True but aliqueit -s waits the full 30 seconds for it to finish so there is no overlap at all. That is how it reports the number of factors added and why using -s seems the best way to go. You are not putting anything queued up.
Edit:Only if someone else was submitting a large number of things do I think the 5 seconds not enough and I don't think that is the case? The DB does handle requests to view sequences while loading is ongoing so uploading doesn't block downloading or examining sequences. Last fiddled with by Greebley on 2009-07-14 at 19:22 |

please be careful!
the issue is not the pause between the upload to the database, the problem is, that every factor has to be proven prime with only one worker (worker #4) so this will be the bottleneck. an insertion with those primality test can take about 5 or 10 minutes for only one seq! |

With the way it all works and the waiting between, I don't think there will be any problems. |

Well if there is a noticable problem then post it here and I will put the 30 second pause in for the second half (I'll make it a full 10 seconds in any case). Past experience with multiple submits makes me think it shouldn't be a problem, though this is obviously a much larger submit (but will also take a lot longer time so the rate is the same).
