Congrats on the new record twin just reported by Peter (x40):
65516468355*2^333333+1 (p+2) 65516468355*2^333333-1 (p) 100355 digits! |

Hmm...I thought that "x" prover code seemed a little odd. It looks like the finder made an error in his prover code and forgot to include LLR--otherwise it would start with "L".
Meanwhile, congratulations Peter! ![]() |

Waitaminute...I don't think PrimeGrid has reported their twin...and neither user's name is Peter. Did Peter scoop PrimeGrid, with the information they gave out earlier?

Congrats Peter! Top siever and finds a twin, Double Credit for him, If puzzle peter found the twin. Does Gribozavr get the Top siever credit. I say he should, get credit for being top siever after Puzzle Peter.

Puzzle Peter didn't find the twin; SG Grid did. However, SG Grid and the top LLR tester (KE7AAR) didn't respond yet, so Puzzle Peter (the top siever) is the only person that shows up on that x40 code.
Anyone can find KE7AAR's identity by checking the usernames on the prime pages site*, but the folks at PrimeGrid didn't want to add his name to the x40 code until KE7AAR responds. *example: Edson Smith's username is ESmith: http://primes.utm.edu/bios/page.php?id=1498 Last fiddled with by MooooMoo on 2009-08-14 at 02:42 |

btw, x40 code has been replace with L923 (since the original didn't properly give attribution to LLR)

On another note, does anyone happen to have the decimal expansion for 65516468355*2^333333-1?
The previous record twin had a "show all of the digits" option: http://primes.utm.edu/primes/page.php?id=79210 , but that option is missing for the n=333333 twin and for any other prime larger than a hundred thousand digits. Last fiddled with by MooooMoo on 2009-08-14 at 09:38 Reason: typos |
