I am planning to build a new Quad PC just for sieving and i was wondering if anyone has an Intel i7 920 who can benchmark and tell me how much it can sieve using Newpgen, per day.
Thanks. |

I have one (running Linux); if you give me reasonably precise instructions ('download http://site/foo.tar.gz; compile it; download http://othersite/input.dat; run foo -texture 7 input.dat') I'll be able to give you some figures.

You can download linux client form http://primes.utm.edu/programs/NewPGen/
and download http://rapidshare.com/files/14010641...100e9.zip.html and follows instruction http://www.elaurian.org/tpsieving/index.htm i hope that helps. Also you can reserve a range here: http://www.mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?t=8137 maybe 5T or 10T Thanks. P.s: i don't know much about linux so i can't help more than this, also thanks in advance for your offer to help. |
