At which point Trump econ-advisor Kevin Hassett will surely feel inspired to write a sequel to his 1999 height-of-the-DotCom-bubble "Dow 36,000" masterpiece.

I sold 20% of my IRA (equivalent) today and moved it to cash. It was a sacrifice for the greater good as now the Dow will rocket up another 25% in the next month. Just you watch.

You can also look at the VIX which is a measure of expected volatility - sort of but the real answer is a bit complicated. That stands at 28 down from a high of 80 in March but still well above the 10-12 range it was in last year. Or you can look at the 30 day historical volatility which is 26.5 again well above realized vol for last year.
