I haven't thought about this (much), but could Pollard's P-1 method, which currently makes use of Fermat's Little Theorem, be revamped to use Fermat's Big Theorem (http://www.bearnol.pwp.blueyonder.co...h/wanless.html)? I'd welcome any analysis/critcism please - I am unsure J
