Default M42 found?

Just saw on Kirk Pearson's website that a possible candidate for M42 has been found and is now being checked.

Haven't seen anything on the Gimps site yet but hopefully will get some more info soon. I'm overjoyed in a way - because we've found another M prime! but also saddened because it probably means that M43 is much much higher - from the graphs I suppose it could be anywhere from 38 million to even as high as 54 million - Ug!
(although M43 could really be anywhere - even just round the corner, my guess for the future is somewhere around 44 million)
