Exclamation PC problems

My PC has worked fine for several month then all of suddent i startet freezing where i could do nothing beside moving the mouse but XP was not responding at all.

Then it went from freezing in windows a little to complete freeze 100% where i had no other choice but to press the start/close or restart button waite a few seconds then the PC shut down.

I reinstalled windows without luck downloaded and ran Prime95 it always in the first test under blend freeze i found out that one of my 4 RAM slots was defective moved the ram over to 2 other slots so i still ran duall channel my pc worked fine even Prime95 found no errors. Well i thought i worked fine for some strange reason now my XP will not allow me to set my page file to larger than 4096 at any cost what so ever. Took my pc 3 days then it startet freezing again and now it freeze completly in test 1 - 2 - 3 it depends how long it goes.

I even experince that Prime95 shut down under testing one of the work thread with: FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4
But its not the same work thread each time it differ i ran it today and got this on workthread 3:

FATAL ERROR: Resulting sum was 4.195334986766746e+016, expected: 7160594523153077

I do now and then get bsod 3 so far.

Anyone has a idea whats wrong?

The maks head a kernal has been on is 75c.

Is that the temperature?

Have you tried Memtest?

The Temperature on Kernel 1 according to Real Temp yes thats the highest it has gone.

It normally stay around 65 as maks but i have seen it up there a few times in the CPU test where it test heat.

And no i haven't tried Memtest.

But i will cry if it turns out to be my memory again.

When i bought the hardware the RAM was defective.
Then i turned out my soundcard was as well.

Both has been replaced by new so this is my third defective hardware and my fear is it's either CPU or Motherboard i think MB first because of the fact i can't have my ram in the 2 yellow slots then my pc freese for sure now they are in the red and now it fresses again but didn't in the start so yeh i am at a loss :(.

Have you tried what happens, if you insert only one memory module in the board and running it in single channel mode?
Do you have set the correct latencies for the memory. For example, for CL7 7-7-16.
Give it a chance with a higher command rate 2T instead of 1T. If the command rate is set too low, the system can be unstable.

Hmm yes i did thats when i for some strange reason had only issues with the first slot and moved the RAM to the 2 other slots and took it 3 days for problems to reacure.

They are running on the correct latensies all the way i even double checked it.

But i can try again running single module to see what happens.

Try increasing the latencies anyway. Sometimes RAM doesn't operate correctly at the advertised latencies.
