It is dangerous to live with Russia. There is always a chance that they will come to the rescue with tanks. And in the process they will accidentally kill you.

Putin is not realizing that he is not the only one with a set of oil/gas valves to close. Germany, for example, could just as easy close them on their end.

The big meeting the U.S. Secretary of Defense held in Germany attracted one attendee I would not have expected to see. A representative from Israel. His little flag sitting in from of him was hard to miss. I don't know the exact count of how many where there, but it considerably exceeded the NATO membership.

An American ex-Marine who volunteered to go fight for the freedom of Ukraine was killed a few days ago.
He was the first American to die fighting in combat there.
He leaves behind his wife and 7 month old son.

I was listening to some military analysis yesterday and I heard this:

Prior to this year, Russia was reckoned to have the second best military, just behind the U.S.

Now, they are reckoned to have the second best military in Ukraine.
