Default if I won the lottery ...

I would buy a new car . . . company.

I would put the money in a bank . . . then buy the bank.

I would wonder how I won, since I didn't buy a ticket.

I'd build a data center just for finding Mersenne primes. :D

edit: Or rather, have someone built it for me. :P

I would upgrade my computer and buy a (couple of) GTX 580.

I would probably buy a Ford Mustang.

I would try to relocate to Australia and set up a company in the ICT.

If the lottery were over $15 sextillion (very unlikely to happen in the near future), I would pay the US national debt off with it, then use the rest of the money to start us on the way to interstellar travel (after launching the Terrestrial Planet Finder, James Webb Space Telescope, and many other proposed spacecraft).

I would call Stephen Hawking a liar, because he said that buying lottery tickets is stupid.

Sigh. I have to keep reminding people that one should never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence.

Have you considered that he may be deluded rather than lying?
