So, I have a GTX1080 and a GTX1080Ti.
The 1080 uses 123W to run 1280 curves at B1=850e6 in 47.2 hours The 1080Ti uses 243W to run 1792 curves at B1=850e6 in 42.7 hours So if my goal were to spend as few joules per curve as possible, the GTX1080 wins by about 25%. I suppose if I could figure out how to underclock the Ti it might well reduce the power consumption by more than it reduces the speed, and (assuming power goes as f^2) a 21% down clock would put it at the same joules/curve as the 1080 and 20% more curves per hour. |
