Do we have a thread for it? (could not find one). Like technical support, bug reports, advertizing, feature request, etc? Like for other projects? That site is quite serious now and lived for a while, so it might get its own subforum? Or it has one already and I can't find it.. If so, please some mod move the post there, or if not, then James may create one...
So, why do I bother, I was trying to do some comparison between CuLu "efficiency" (price, performance, consumption) of some cheap cards, and when I accessed the CuLu card database page and click on any card, I got: Code:
Warning: Division by zero in /var/www/vhosts/mersenne.ca/httpdocs/cudalucas.php on line 194 edit: This was not the case for the old page, before moving the domain Last fiddled with by LaurV on 2012-10-09 at 04:08 |

It was apparently archived a while ago, when it went from an active GIMPS project to a "just" a neat site (because of PNv5, I think). Last fiddled with by Dubslow on 2012-10-09 at 04:14 |

Sorry for waking up this old sleeping thread. Still looking for the section in discussion :D
Now, I am trying to report some factors to mersenne.ca and got back punches in the nose: Code:
Notice: Undefined variable: factor5 in /var/www/vhosts/mersenne.ca/httpdocs/index.php on line 199 Notice: Undefined variable: exponent_type in /var/www/vhosts/mersenne.ca/httpdocs/index.php on line 203 Notice: Undefined variable: exponent_type in /var/www/vhosts/mersenne.ca/httpdocs/index.php on line 270 Skipping 64306421 -- only Mersenne (not Fermat) exponents are currently accepted. Email James if you think this is in error. |

Problem: for my latest P-1 factor (of M64369951) to find the factors of k I went to http://www.mersenne.ca/factor.php, which brightly reported that 308859196150824 = 2 × 154429598075412. I can iterate, so the page reports 154429598075412 = 2 × 77214799037706, and so on...
This carried through to http://www.mersenne.ca/exponent.php?...tails=64369951 as well. It had the correct k, 308859196150824, factored into 2 × 154429598075412. A factor found a few days ago for M64522099 has the correct prime factors of k in both pages. |

Very good, yes it did - 30 to 55 million!
![]() btw, fwiw, the second example was wrong, it was M64272539 that had a factor & showed correctly. |

So far, just one with the problem.
![]() Code:
M64272539 has a factor: 9071055458279594221185001 k = 70567116216457500 = 2^2 * 3^2 * 5^4 * 163 * 5839 * 3295291 M64369951 has a factor: 39762502644255858979249 k = 308859196150824 = 2 × 154429598075412 instead of 2^3 * 3 * 11 * 17 * 63607 * 1081939 M64560521 has a factor: 1702954647929500068960097 k = 13188823615050288 = 2^4 * 3 * 263 * 373 * 439 * 6380221 |

Thanks cheesehead. Mersenne.ca is just my first port of call for factoring, being in the Mersenne context & all. I was just pointing out that for this case it is an outlier, when the variability between sites should be low.
