Do you really need Windows 10 to run this program? If it were me, I would downgrade to Windows 7.

I have used the following steps with success. After actually running updates, it's a good idea to check as MS sometimes "fixes" this.

Step 1. Use the Windows + R keyboard shortcut to open the "Run" command.

Step 2. Type the following path: %windir%\System32\Tasks\Microsoft\Windows\UpdateOrchestrator and click "OK".

Step 3. Select the "Reboot" file without an extension, right-click it, and select "Rename".

Step 4. Rename the Reboot file to Reboot.old.

Step 5. Right-click on the folder, select "New" and click on "Folder". Then you can rename it.

Do note that you might have "Reboot", "Reboot_AC", and/or "Reboot_Battery". I did the folder trick described for each of them.

In the olden days whenever I wanted to stop MS "fixing" things I had changed to my preferences, I would change "badfile.exe" into a folder and then remove all permissions from the folder for everyone except my user login.

I found that after doing that Windows was unable to figure out how to move, rename or update "badfile.exe", because dealing with folders is a different API call than dealing with files.
