Default p95 v23.8

I noticed there is a new version of Prime95 out. Does anyone know the difference between this newer version(23.8) and older version 23.7?

George, is there any chance of getting a (dynamically linked) version later than 23.5 for Linux?

I'd love to help with the testing, and I remember my Athlon XP had a somewhat better speed under Windows.

Thanks!

Nathan

There really aren't any new killer features in Windows 23.8 vs Linux 23.5. All the changes have been in the torture test and the one comm bug fix. If I have time I'll work on it, but it isn't high priority right now...

What do you do anyway when you release new versions? And how do you do it? Like those bug fixes, torture tests, and everyone's favorite, "3-8% speed improvements".

What about using Wine? I have used it with good success with Proth under Redhat. All I needed to do was run 'wine <exe> &' and place a DLL or two in the working directory of the client.
