I /sigh/ could, I guess. (Not much happenning in Cunningham's forum, so my hands are not tied. And the forum is not blocked from work, like some other -even less frivolous- sites.)
With Mike's hacking of the BB guts, the permissions are wacky - at this point in time I cannot see the subforums; maybe Mike could make a supermod a mod in that forum and they will show up? If that's the case, I could, but if else - Mike would be a perfect referee.

edit: BTW Xyzzy is there a reason why I can't seem to post formatting or smilies in the private subforum?
We must have set the team forums to text only. We will turn on formatting and stuff but we think (?) attachments would be a bad idea because they are easily discovered. (Think about how attachments work.)

Batalov, you changed the image after the first move. Would it be possible for every move to have its own post and image? The first post should possibly have the current board position in it.

I would hope that N-K(/Q)B3 would be interpreted as Nc(/f)3, given the colour of the participant.

Look forward to this Kriegspiel

by the way are we allowed to play chess on-line while this happens ? I could see how playing on-line could be like an engine, so am I banned if I use the tactics trainer on the site I go to ? since at one play per team per week this may go for 40 weeks+ ?

Surely that's allowed. I see no reason why playing games online and generally flexing your chess muscles has any impact on the game we are currently playing. Just don't give our position to the tactics trainer or any of your online friends other than your team-mates to solve!

Just don't use a chess engine against the position we are in. Other games, chess databases, books, internet etc are usually allowed during correspondence chess.
