Hi guys! I'm trying to use mprime on Arch but whenever i start the program and i try to communicate with the server i get this error. Beyond that, it looks like my account doesn't know about this cpu.
This is what i get when i start the program with mprime -m [Wed Feb 10 11:52:31 2016 - ver 28.7] Updating computer information on the server PrimeNet error 7: Invalid parameter parameter ss: Invalid int value/precision '' [Wed Feb 10 11:52:58 2016 - ver 28.7] Updating computer information on the server PrimeNet error 7: Invalid parameter parameter ss: Invalid int value/precision '' |

That's strange. ss is supposed to be a security salt, i.e. a random number.
Can you post the output of ls? One possibility is that your communications spool file has been corrupted. |

If i type ls ./ i get "Data Desktop local.txt prime.spl prime.txt". Here are the files generated by mprime.

Why did you pass an argument to ls? And you didn't copy the full output, for I don't see the prime.log that you attached in the ls output.
The above is irrelevant fortunately; if what I threw out as a possibility is in fact a problem, the solution is to rm prime.spl and then try running ./mprime -c (or I suppose ./mprime -m would work fine too) again. Last fiddled with by Dubslow on 2016-02-10 at 12:02 |

Unluckily the problem is still there. Here is the new log file.
I didn't copy the full output because i'm dumb (lol) Instead there's no real reason i gave an argument to ls for ![]() |

I just looked at the raw IIS logs at the attempted communications. the ss= parameter doesn't show up in the requests at all.
There were 17 requests made to the API, all of them were of type "uc" (update computer info). I think the clue is this part that specifies the client version: a=Linux64,Untrusted+Prime95,v28.7,build+1 The "untrusted" means this wasn't an official build, it was built from source by someone else so it'll be missing the security salt/hash. |

LaurV: thanks for the support but it hasn't been useful for me. I'm grateful anyway
![]() Madpoo: should i download the source from the official site and try to build the package by myself? |

EDIT: it's working. However i would like to install it opportunely (at the moment it is in my /home and all the files are in the same folder). Any tips? A link would do. I know that i'm off topic and i apologize in advance... ![]() EDIT: i modified the PKGBUILD and managed to install the program as i wanted. Thanks a lot, everyone!
