Hello all,
I come from Folding@Home & BOINC-land, trying GIMPS for the first time. I recently set up my first GPU client (GTX 560 Ti 448 cores) and checked out some assignments from gpu72.com. I use their submit_spider Perl script and the results show up under my account. The only issue I'm having is that I've edited my settings multiple times on mersenne.org to change my display name from ANONYMOUS to my username (brilong) or my first and last name, yet when I click on the "Summary", it still shows ANONYMOUS. Is this a glitch on my end or is something wrong with the settings editor on the mersenne.org website? Are my results properly posting and will my team receive credit for these results? Thanks! |

Have you changed both Account Login and Public Name in settings?
Also, try MISFIT, it simplifies and automates everything. ![]() |

I've continued trying to change my display name to be the same as my account login (brilong). Every time I try this, it says it was successful, but when I revisit the account summary, I'm still showing as ANONYMOUS. This is causing my team statistics to show me as ANONYMOUS instead of brilong and that's not good. :)

Should this thread be moved to a different forum more suitable for help with the mersenne.org website / account issues? Sorry if I posted to the wrong subforum.
