If you want people to look at your idea, post it.

Consider yourself contacted. What is the idea? Have you done a thorough search of the prior art? (There's a BIG learning curve in this niche area of number theory intersecting with efficient computation on huge operands. And that's just mainly for Mersenne primes. And I am a professional, or at least I used to play one in real life.;)

(as a supermod, I maybe able to edit that post you pointed to in edit mode, but the normal user will wonder...)

If it is really simple how do you imagine that no one else has found it in the thousands of years people have been studying mathematics?

"Is that a $100 bill just laying there in the gutter!?!?" asks one of the economists. "Of course not" answers the other economist without even glancing up from her phone where she's doing some somewhat advanced maths in several dimensions in realtime. "Or else, someone else would have already picked it up. I have found that, sometimes, simple metaphors can communicate complex ideas in very easytounderstand terms.

OP also might test their idea out themselves learning how to use primalitytesting software, or even ECM, is a healthy path of discovery. Trying to find counterexamples is the first step after "this might work" on the path toward "I should ask others if this is a good idea".
