OK, I'm going to be building a new P4 soon, and have been looking around for a good place to buy parts from. I live in upper Montgomery county in Maryland, and I haven't been able to find a good local retailer. So if anybody has any suggestions for a good online compueter parts store, I'd really appreciate it. One place that caught my eye was Newegg.com; does anybody have any comments about them?
Thanks a lot, Tim |

There is only one place I deal with... If they don't have it, I don't need it...

My current short list is:
1. newegg.com 2. mwave.com 3. googlegear.com 4. outside loop (for occasional deals on stuff like OEM Intel and AMD HSF for US$5.00) |

I use newegg.com but sanity check some of the items, like disk drives and video cards, with buy.com. I don't know what you building goals are, but in general this has worked out for me.
If buy.com has the specific item I'm looking for -- a lot of times they don't -- it was worth the look and can save $$$ once in a while. When the shipping and handling math works out, I use both to get the best deal. newegg.com and buy.com have a good return policy so I use them as I see fit. :) Haven't used any other online stores in quite a while. :D john |

Nope. Sorry Luigi. :(
I just ran through their menus and they only ship here in the states. OTOH buy.com seems to ship worldwide with a, al beit, smaller selection which is probably not worth your while. :? john |

I swear by newegg.com I have never used mwave.com, but I hear it is good as well. I have been able to order stuff on a Monday from newegg, and with cheapest shipping, it arrives by Thursday. Highly recommended.

Luigi, have you ever thought of finding someone in the States to purchase the item for you and then ship it to you??
You might get a volunteer if you asked. Forward the purchase price to them and then pay for the shipping to you. Might be worthwhile. |

Thanks OutInder, I'll take this idea into consideration, at least for those items I can't find here :-)
